Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez wins big and sets record at France’s Prix Lumières 2025 ceremony

Jacques Audiard’s prize-winning movie continues its awards sweep and appears set to dominate throughout awards season in each France and the US.

Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez gained huge on the thirtieth Lumières ceremony in Paris final evening, inserting it as a favorite for the upcoming César Awards (France’s equal to the Oscars) and cementing the audacious musical as a frontrunner for the Academy Awards in March.  

The Cannes and Golden Globe-winning movie gained 5 awards out of six nominations, together with Greatest Movie, Greatest Director and Greatest Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón.
